We at Great MN Schools, want to say a major thank you to all teachers across our city, the state, and the country who have made this school year possible. This school year could not have been possible without you, and our entire community owes teachers a debt of gratitude.

Teachers:  You have been met with many challenges and changes this year and have overcome them with grace and perseverance. From teaching virtually, incorporating historic current events into lesson plans, shifting family engagement, and, in many instances such as our portfolio schools, making concerted efforts to help schools as they journey from “good” to “great." Your commitment to your scholars has shown no matter the circumstances, and should be celebrated every week of the year. You are all heroes.

Thank you to every teacher for supporting our students and encouraging them to be the best they can be on a daily basis. Thank you to every teacher for creating a safe and caring environment for our students, especially in these challenging times. Thank you to every teacher for your sacrifices; your students appreciate you and so do we.

Teachers, you are the pillars of our community and are an inspiration to all those who you have taught; without you we would not be where we are today. I know personally from having a daughter in school just how important and impactful her teachers have been to her and our family.

Join us in sharing our gratitude by thanking a teacher who has made a difference in your life or the life of your student. We are honored to be their partner in serving kids and are grateful for everything they do.
