With over 15 years of experience in education, Heidi is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments that cater to individual needs. Most recently, she worked at CityBridge Education, overseeing the Transforming Teaching Portfolio and leading the planning, piloting, and implementation of sustainable teaching models. Previously, as the Director of Professional Learning at Turnaround for Children, she utilized her educational leadership and teaching background to support whole-child aligned change initiatives in schools and districts. Heidi’s journey in education began as a first-generation college student at the University of Chicago, where she worked with the Neighborhood Schools Program. She then joined Teach for America and has held various teaching and leadership roles since. Her fondest memories include her time as a science teacher and assistant principal. Hailing from Minnesota, Heidi stays busy with her extended family, husband, son, and weiner dog while actively engaging in volunteer work.
