Resources
We develop one-of-a-kind resources with and for schools and community
The sampling of tools below help schools improve and support families and community as they navigate and advocate for great schools.
Strong, empowered school communities
We believe that having the right tools and supports in place to leverage a school’s strengths—and address needs—can accelerate its growth from good to great.
Literacy Needs Assessment
Strong literacy programs—grounded in the Science of Reading—and reading proficiency matter. We work alongside schools, as well as community and systems, to improve and strengthen literacy programs. Learn about our Literacy Needs Assessment.
Talent Playbook
Developed in partnership with EdFuel and New Schools for New Orleans, our playbook provides clarity for school leaders on critical actions to help hire, develop, and retain the best people to advance student learning.
Tools for families
We build community partnerships to support underserved families' ability to navigate K-12 systems and advocate for their children through new tools.
Learning guides for families
These guides lay out what our state and our schools expect kids to know and be able to do each year. When students access grade-level materials and families are engaged, students are more successful in school and beyond.
MPS board elections voter guide
Candidates have different priorities, visions, and ideas—it’s our job to get plugged in!
System & school accountability for community
Minneapolis School Finder
As the only resource that equips our community with information on all schools across Minneapolis, we rely heavily on broad community feedback to know that what we show on a school profile is meaningful to the families that use and trust this tool. Share your feedback today!
Enrollment equity
As we strive for all students, especially those underserved, to access high-quality schools, we spent time learning how several major U.S. districts have championed equitable enrollment practices. Our issue brief captures what we learned, and articulates a set of recommendations for the Minneapolis district.
